India Alford is a kanaka ʻōiwi (Native Hawaiian) artist born and raised in ʻEwa but currently resides in Nuʻuanu. Her art is deeply inspired by the scenery of the pae ʻāina (Hawaiian islands).Through her paintings, India captures the essence of the places she has visited and the people she cherishes. Some pieces are named after the ahupuaʻa (traditional land division) where they are set, while othergive nods to local culture.
